Jute canvas is a natural-fiber fabric obtained from plants of the Corchorus genus. The fiber is extracted from the plant stem and is highly hygroscopic and completely biodegradable. The fabric retains the characteristics of the yarn, resulting in a rough and fairly strong texture; it also provides high breathability.
